Per Se Group has an immediate need for a quick-thinking, problem solver to fill a vacancy as an Operations Dispatcher for an area electric power provider. Working from within the Operations Center, this individual will monitor the condition of the power grid, dispatch notifications for demand response curtailment events, and provide vent forecasting as well as analytical reporting.


• Manage real-time operations of   distributed asset portfolio, including dispatching resources based upon contract commitments, economic conditions, and operational constraints to enable profitability of the portfolio
• Take and/or direct real-time actions in accordance with ISO, utility, co-op, customer or company commitments and/or procedures
• Coordinate unit availability, outage schedules, and unit schedules
• Continually communicate all necessary information to appropriate internal and external parties/personnel
• Communicate operational issues and implement improvements to existing systems and procedures
• Monitor and analyze available market information alongside contract commitments to identify dispatching, optimizing, and trading opportunities
• Manage the monitoring of real-time customer performance data during the dispatch
• Manage after-hours inbound calls
• Manage required documentation in dispatch event management software for compliance purposes
• Communicate any event monitoring systems errors to IT support, participate in pre-production systems testing, and ensure that system updates do not create an adverse effect on business operations
• Build and analyze event forecasting and analytics reports
• Revise and update all communications templates on a regular basis for both accuracy and efficacy
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’ s degree or relevant work experience.
• Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to make creative, logical, solution-based decisions in the absence of direct supervision
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
• Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
• Must be available to fulfill storm/event duty requirements, which may include:
o Reporting to work during winter storms or other possible catastrophic events
o Working extended shifts as necessary until storm or event conditions reside
o Proven ability to think critically and provide leadership in fast-paced, hectic environments
• Previous Energy industry experience a plus
• NERC or PJM certification is a plus
