Prominent Suburban Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm is seeking a mid-level Autocad Technician. Must have an at least 5-10 years of progressive work experience, and a two-year technical associates degree in AutoCad is preferred.
Company has strong backlog with large land development clients, must be proficient in land development related AutoCAD drafting (Microstation experience a plus) including but not limited to the following: Grading Plans, Plan and Profiles, Plan set Assembly, and miscellaneous Exhibits.
Prospect should be comfortable working with other staff members, and possess good time management skills. Ideal candidate is well versed in current and previous versions of autocad and experience in migration. Must be knowledgable in both Land Development Desktop and Civil 3D. Generally, the position is an hourly position with opportunities for OT.
Looking for an experienced CAD Technician-MicroStation to work as part of their engineering team on transportation and public works projects.
Responsibilities will be: producing construction drawings and plans using MicroStation; providing preliminary drawings / sketches / notes for projects, redlines and plans for submittals; assisting in the coordination of design and specifications; completing tasks on projects while working with engineers; recommending the best use of project tools; troubleshooting; resolving issues.
Nice to have: Experience using MicroStation for both Civil Infrastructure Design AND Survey CAD projects
Experience in CAD and plan production for transportation projects. Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD. Experience performing roadway design in InRoads, Geopak, OpenRoads, or Land Development (Civil3D is the more sophisticated version of the software) is desired. Must be self-directed and able to perform all required duties with little/no guidance. Must be dedicated to quality work and operating as part of a team
