Job Description

A swiftly-growing solar power equipment start-up located in the North San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a motivated Prototype Mechanical Assembler to join their team. The company is designing and manufacturing cutting-edge PV ground mount systems for the utility-scale solar industry. Among the senior leadership and founders of this firm are former members of the product development teams from some of the biggest names in the industry. This is an opportunity for a skilled manufacturing Prototype Mechanical Assembler to join a team on the forefront of the renewable energy revolution.

Qualified candidates will have experience with mechanical assembly of heavy equipment as well as the electrical and mechanical inclination to perform testing and repairs on the equipment. This person should be strong both with mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
- Mechanical and manual assembly of prototype equipment and other equipment
- Performing testing and maintenance on products 
- Up to 10% travel to service equipment in the field. 
- Use designated inspection equipment to test and identify defect.
- Perform minimal tool preventive maintenance.
- Assist in assembly of prototype equipment.
-Assist in development of manufacturing procedures to create the most efficient processes.

Requirements:
- Strong mechanical inclination and assembly experience
- Microsoft office skills/experience.
- Heavy equipment experience preferred
- Prototype assembly experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools
- Strong trouble-shooting skills required.
- Excellent hand and eye coordination is needed.
- Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator.
